Carbon Steel Casting Smelting Oem Foundry Slag Pot For Metallurgy EB4095
Slag pots are available with capacities of 30 - 1050 cubic feet. Finished weights range from 2.5 - 75 tons. Our facilities have the capability to cast pots in nearly every shape and style for a variety of mounting systems and methods of transport.
Our slag pots are utilized in many applications
including BOFs, AODs, Electric Arc and Blast Furnaces, and nonferrous refineries for the melting of magnesium and copper nickel smelting.
Every slag pot we produce is designed and engineered to meet specific and critical custom specifications. Our pots can be filled to capacity with up to 1649º C slag. Our expert engineering and casting technicians are committed to working with you to suggest modifications that reduce cost and extend pot life through improved efficiencies.

1. Material
Cast Steels with differing chemical compositions but defined mechanical properties play a dominant role in the manufacture of slag pots. Standard specifications of Cast Steel for slag pots may be found here

3. Delivery condition: Normalised
Note regarding the material selection: Due to obvious advantages in terms of service life and maintenance
Cost-efficiency, cast steel has been becoming more significant in the slag pot construction over the last
Years versus both materials, spheroidal cast-iron and lamellar graphite cast-iron. In contrast to other
Materials, cast steel offers excellent repair possibilities as it is well-suited to welding.
4. Quality assurance
The fabrication route is governed by the provisions of the implemented Quality System ISO 9001: 2000.
The standard documentation ensures the full traceability of every process step:
Manufacturer test certificates according to DIN EN 10.204 § 3.1 including chemical composition,
Mechanical properties and non-destructive examination;
Dimensional check supported with a "as-built" sketch;
Record of the quality heat treatment;
