PM-HSS Rolls
Lescowear cold work tool steel is a versatile medium-chromium, air-hardening tool steel that is characterized by a very good combination of toughnesss and wear resistance. It is available primarily in round bar forms for cold work tooling applications which demand better toughness but comparable wear resistance compared to D2 cold work tool steel and M2 high speed steel. A similar grade that is available primarily in flat and sheet product forms is LSS
TM PGK.
Typical applications for Lescowear cold work tool steel include punches, blanking dies, thread roll dies, coining dies, drawing dies, upsetting dies, and rolls.

With high-speed steel composite roller production hot isostatic pressing process, compared with casting high speed steel roll of the same composition, the carbide is smaller and more uniform, the carbide morphology and distribution of thermal fatigue, thermal spalling resistance and toughness of the roll play a decisive role, so the comprehensive performance of HIP process of high speed steel roll production significantly better than the casting roll. In addition, in order to further improve the wear resistance, the HIP process uses higher content and alloy content to maintain good carbide morphology.
